Buckhead Village will be hosting American Craft Council’s Atlanta Southeast Craft Week LIVE: POP-UP from September 23-25!
The American Craft Council is a national nonprofit working to keep the craft community connected, inspired, and thriving.
Free and open to the public, the pop-up will kick off with an opening event on Thursday, September 23 from 5:30-8:30pm and feature a collection of in-person experiences that celebrate craft tradition and innovation. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and enjoy light bites by Bella Cucina and beverages at the opening night reception.
On September 24 and 25 from 11am-7pm, the pop-up will feature one-of-a-kind production, gallery and installation works by over 35 leading craft practitioners who evoke the cultural and stylistic diversity of contemporary craft from nine southeastern states.
Throughout the two-day pop-up, makers at Buckhead Village will host installations and spotlight craft makers in their spaces. Buckhead Art & Co. will showcase in-house artists that demonstrate craft techniques in their work, and Bella Cucina will spotlight works by owner and founder Alisa Barry, along with pieces by other featured artists. Bella Cucina and Pinker Times will also display a few craft artist installations in their spaces for guest viewing, and B.M. Franklin & Co will demonstrate the art of hatmaking.
